Benriach-10- "The Clear Scotch"
Benriach, wow, it's been a while since this one's been on the palate. However, the one distinctive feature about this malt was the color. Hence the name, the "Clear Scotch". It was almost colorless! Very, very light and airy. Not even Auchentoshan was this light!. The thing about this malt is it's weightlessness. This is, according to Michael Jackson, a "mid-afternoon malt", a pick-me-up dram. Not heavy like some of other Speysides or the Highlands. We would recommend this to a first time drinker, it isnt very obtrusive and it isn't gonna kill you!
