Glenfiddich- The "Bud" of Scotches
This one may offend some Glenfiddich lovers in the US. Since this is probably the most known and most common single malt in the USA (and not the most distinctive), we have given it the name the "Bud" of scotches. Now, overseas, in the UK for example, where Bud is a little less respected, we might have called this malt the "Stella" of scotches, and so forth.
